The Delivering Grins program and Grins to Go™ bags are offered exclusively through the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides medical grants to help children gain access to health-related services not covered, or not fully covered, by their parents’ commercial health insurance plan. Families can receive up to $5,000 annually per child ($10,000 lifetime maximum per child), and do not need to have insurance through UnitedHealthcare to be eligible.
UHCCF was founded in 1999. Since 2007, UHCCF has awarded 13,000 grants valued at $35M to children and their families across the United States. UHCCF’s funding is provided by contributions from individuals, corporations and UnitedHealth Group employees.
Delivering Grins is an uplifting new program offered by the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) that helps deliver smiles to children and is an effective team-building and philanthropic program for companies like yours.
At the heart of this program is Grins to Go - a boredom-busting bag of amusing gifts and activities that will inspire any child, whether in a hospital, a waiting room or long car ride. All proceeds fund UHCCF medical grants for children.
Grins to Go bags are assembled by volunteers and donated to hospitals and charities. That’s where you come in! UHCCF will work with your company to design a program that meets your philanthropic or team-building goals, whether that includes a short activity to assemble bags or even coordinating the delivery to a local charity. If you value the impact of great team-building and philanthropy, talk to UHCCF about Delivering Grins.

Each Grins to Go bag includes an assortment of toys and activities designed for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12. Different items will be offered, based on what’s trending with these age groups.
These bags are designed to inspire those kids that might find themselves in need of a distraction and entertainment, but they are sure to brighten any child’s day.
